Cartoon Nation

Cartoons are used as a way to enter the minds of young children without them realizing it. The creators are so good at this that it even slips past the eyes of the parents. Who ever creates the cartoon can put ideas into children's minds for the future. There are many things that kids experience that will shape their minds. Cartoons are just the easiest way because most people allow the viewing of cartoons and promote it. Yes, cartoons help kids learn right from wrong but they are learning there is either right or wrong. I'm not sure there is a way to change cartoons while still keeping the attention of the children. Cartoons are so popular because kids enjoy them and it gives the parents a little bit of  free time. Keep the concepts simple and entertaining and children will watch them. I can imagine that the cartoon world would not be every entertaining with characters having political debates and real arguments about right and wrong. Cartoons may not be teaching kids everything absolutely correct but but it will have to do until someone thinks of an alternate form of media.

  1. I agree with this. It's funny how creators slip innapropraite things into shows that are seen as "Innocent". When you get older you realize what they actually mean. Recently I watched Beauty and The Beast for the first time in years and I realize that they had some subtle sexual references plugged in. When I was 7 years old, I didn't realize this. Creators of childrens media are very good at this and they certainly know what they're doing. By plugging in subtle things in childhood television or movies, they are getting to minds earlier and earlier.

  2. Cartoons are the best thing kids adapt to while growing up. It opens their minds in a way they can only dream. This process creates both positives and negative thoughts into a kids mind. Depending on the cartoons kids prefer to watch,it effects their way of thinking in various conditions.
